SCREENSAVER Definition
A screensaver is a program that displays an image, a series of images, or
animation on a computer monitor after no input has been received for a certain length of
time. Screensavers were originally designed so that images would not be burned into the
phosphors of older CRT screens, Today, screensavers are primarily for entertainment or
security purposes.
